Anne at Carrefour

Join us in remembering our colleague and friend, Anne Forrest, today at 1.30 p.m. at Mountainside United Church, 4000 The Boulevard, Westmount.

Long-term newsletter editor, recovering English teacher, songstress, friend to many, Anne passed away on November 20, 2016 in West Island at the age of 75.

Anne will be remembered as a dedicated high school English teacher and for her ability to seamlessly blend theory and practical application. Her editorial skills and enthusiasm for plain English were well-documented and are reflected by the honours and accolades her work won.

But, to us, Anne was more than just a wonderful wordsmith. We take great pleasure in remembering her for her warm and caring ear, and as a hard-working, straight-talking project manager who always gave credit to contributors. We will recall her love of music, travel, a good bridge game, all best shared in the company of friends. And, for her gentle, but pointed repartee. She will be sorely missed as the ICCC “go-to girl” who gave freely of her time to always come up with a professional solution. And, she will be remembered for serving the chamber with distinction in a multitude of capacities that included newsletter, administrative, photography and invoicing services.
