Originally from Co. Armagh, Ruth moved to Montreal in 1999 after several years working in Brussels as a business analyst. A graduate of University of Salford, Ruth now works in investor relations for SEMAFO, a Montreal-based gold mining company that has exploration and mining operations in West Africa. Ruth has experienced first hand the value of the chambers of commerce in Ireland. Some twenty years ago, she participated in a year-long, post-graduate international marketing manager diploma program in Belgium that was co-sponsored by the Belfast and Dublin chambers of commerce.
Ruth, who speaks five European languages, has lived and travelled within Europe, Asia and North America. In addition to serving as vice-president of the chamber, Ruth also serves as director of the St. Patrick`s Society of Montreal.
