Dublin Chamber of Commerce, in association with the Embassy of Canada in Ireland and the Ireland-Canada Chamber of Commerce, are hosting a networking breakfast on Doing Business with Québec. Opening remarks will be provided by H.E. Kevin Vickers, Ambassador of Canada to Ireland and Mary Rose Burke, CEO Dublin Chamber. There will be a keynote speech by Mr Jean Charest, Former Deputy Prime Minister of Canada, and Former Premier of Québec, with additional remarks by Christos Sirros, Québec Agent General in London.
Discussions will focus on opportunities presented by the EU-Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and business opportunities in Québec. Mr Charest has been instrumental in negotiating the EU-Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).
Montréal, like Dublin, has been transformed into a tech hub in recent years and several synergies exist for cooperation in this area. Other areas of opportunity in Québec include agriculture, aerospace, biofood, finance, life sciences, information technologies, clean technologies, transportation and logistics. This event is aimed at Irish businesses who are doing business or interested in doing business with Canada.
